The South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race presents XRootsFest (pronounced Cross-Roots-Fest), a free large-scale family event with musicians, dancers, storytellers, merchants and food vendors rooted in the cultures of four continents. Together with the greater Essex County community, they will celebrate the diverse roots of the region. Attractions include Biwanko, the children's Taiko (Japanese Drumming) group, Creations Dance Academy, classical Indian dancers, singer, songwriters Kay and Ray, and the African dance group, Usaama Dance Company.
