World-Class Arts in a Hometown Setting
Our community is brimming with the finest artistic talent and venues which span all the performing arts. The award-winning South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), which also houses the 5-screen Bow Tie Cinemas, is a regional attraction with a state-of-the-art 415 seat Performance Hall and flexible Loft space. SOPAC has hosted the likes of Yo-Yo Ma, Dionne Warwick, Richard Marx, Max Weinberg, Ben Vereen and the then-Senator Barack Obama.
The Village's Baird Community Center offers a rich assortment of recreational programs and classes and houses the Pierro Gallery, which exhibits the work of diverse, established and emerging visual artists. Seton Hall University also offers an abundant array of year-round cultural activities for students, residents and visitors.
We invite you to explore the countless cultural offerings South Orange showcases for audiences and artists of all ages.
